I’m Cheryl and I love gardening and cooking. As a former teacher, it was inevitable that I started to work with others and help them grow.
I’m not a farmer, though my dream as a child was to be a farmer’s wife. I love being outdoors, working the land and it gives me a great sense of peace. Something I often call ‘herbaceous therapy’. As a South African, who married a Brit and is currently living in Japan, I can safely say that I have grown things on 3 continents. The basic skills are the same, but the problems and pests are different.
Through this blog, I hope that I can share my passion with you, the lessons I’m learning as I continue to grow on my balcony and my plot and so inspire more people to grow their own food.
